Subject: EMA 2008 "Lightning" Meeting, October 2nd-3rd, Shippensburg University.

Greetings, EMA, NEUG, Ex Libris users everywhere,

The Ex Libris Mid Atlantic Regional User's Group meeting will be held

this year, with very significantly truncated lead time, on the 2nd &

3rd of October at Shippensburg University.

The October schedule is being maintained in order to keep the

traditional Fiscal Year schedule that EMA has operated with in

previous years. Now that May dates for ELUNA 2009 and 2010 have been

released, the projected schedule will permit for ample planning time

for our traditional October meetings.

Since ELUNA 2008 was held in late July/early August, we have a very

brief interval in which to prepare for this year's meeting, but with

rugged Mid-Atlantic determination, our meeting will be held on

schedule. Many thanks, to Aaron Dobbs for volunteering Shippenburg

University's facilities as our venue and seeing to the local

arrangements.

We would also like to welcome Erin Hughes, of Ramapo College, as our

new Chair Elect.

Owing to the shortness of time, we can anticipate a flurry of activity

on this site, and, by necessity, this year's meeting may lack some of

the formality in its preparation. To assist in the creation of a

complete and robust program, we certainly invite you to propose

presentations for this year's meeting. The focus of your presentation

can feature any Ex Libris product, or workflows, extensions thereof,

etc.

Please consider presenting and letting us know as soon as possible.

For now, all proposals can be sent to mw18 at columbia.edu. We look

forward to hearing from you, and more news will be forthcoming to this

site. Also, please indicate your willingness to serve on the planning

committee...(write to mw18 at columbia.edu) your contributions and

participation is, as always, very much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Mark Wilson - Columbia University

Erin Hughes - Ramapo College
