We have installed Gary Strawn's Spine Labeling program (with help from
Joanne Palko-thanks Joanne!) called vgerspin. There are several Google
postings, e.g.:

summary of Strawn's full installation instructions. For greater detail

It runs on a PC connected to your database with ODBC drivers.

Yes, you wand barcodes and print as many as you like.

Let me know if you need help.

Subject: [NEUG-L] printing spine labels

Good morning members,

I am new to the area and trying to get help on a Voyager problem. Since
this is the New England user's group I thought I would start here.

The spine labels on many of our children's books have faded to
nothingness. These items need to be re-labeled. Voyager tells me that
I can only print one spine label at a time. Is this true? Does
anyone have a work around for this? My previous experience was with
SirsiDynix and we could wand in as many barcodes as we liked and then
print labels by the sheet.

Any help or suggestion is appreciated. Please reply nturnbu1 at fsc.edu.
Thanks.
