"Environmental Monitoring and Control" workshop
June 17, 2002

The Campbell Center for Historic Preservation Studies is pleased
to announce a one-day workshop providing an introduction to the environmental factors that effect museum collections. Topics
covered will include: environmental monitoring; low cost, practical
techniques for mitigating environmental issues; pest management.
Participants are encouraged to bring a few slides or photos that
illustrate their collections care problems and/or solutions. Each
participant will receive a booklet of supplemental readings.
Offered at the Campbell Center for Historic Preservation Studies in
Mt. Carroll, Illinois on Monday June 17, 2002, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The workshop is being promoted through a collaboration with the
Illinois Association of Museums and the Illinois Heritage Association.
Registration fee of $50.00 includes lunch and morning coffee. Overnight
accommodations for Sunday, June 16th are available at the Campbell
Center for $40.00 per night, the price also includes breakfast the
following morning. Members of IAM and IHA receive a 10 percent
discount on both the registration fee and overnight accommodations.
Registration deadline is June 12, 2002.
