REALISING STANDARDS

June 12-19, 2005

Hosted by The Natural History Museum, London, UK in conjunction with The Natural Sciences Collections Association, The Geological Curators Group, ICOM Natural Sciences Conservation Working Group. 

Celebrating 20 years of the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC), the theme for the first meeting outside North America will be current standards in the care and management of natural history collections. A work-shop will review the assessment of current standards, benchmarking of collection condition and implementation of base line standards for natural science collections. Two other proposed workshops will focus on Integrated Pest Management and Risk Management. The conference will also focus on the building and strengthening of international networks.
