Curator of Entomology

San Diego Natural History Museum seeks full-time professional to develop and implement an active collection-based research program in terrestrial entomology with an emphasis relevant to the mission of SDNHM (www.sdnhm.org); actively participate in educational initiatives and exhibit development to build public awareness of and support for science; manage the development, care and use of the terrestrial entomology collection; seek funding to support research and operational priorities.

Successful candidate will have a Ph.D. with documented success in publication of research findings, ability to obtain grant funding, participation in public venues promoting science, and experience managing a scientific research collection with knowledge of professional standards for collecting and managing natural history specimens.  He/she will demonstrate excellent writing skills and strong project management skills.
