TITLE: Assistant Preparator
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
        Background in biology
        Dissection experience
        Ability to work unsupervised
        Must be motivated
        Must be able to work in Bedford, MA daily.
        Must have rabies vaccination 30 days prior to start (will be provided).
        Must be detail orientated.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
        Experience preparing museum quality specimens
        Knowledge of Mammalian anatomy
        Good observational skills
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Prepare Mammal specimens as skins and skeletons
        Maintenance of preparation facility
        Use and maintenance of Dermestid beetle colony
        Assist with curation of fluid collection and cetacean collection
        Keep track and reorder supplies
        May have to transport specimens between Cambridge and Bedford
 
SALARY:
        $10 ? 12 per hour dependent on experience
        35 hours per week (full time) for 12 weeks between June and August 2005
        No benefits
