Dear Colleagues,

I would appreciate your help in spreading the word about intern
opportunities for students and recent graduates interested in spending a
summer at the Harvard University Herbaria. Please see the description
below for more details.

Best, James

Note: Please excuse the cross-posting ;)

The Harvard University Herbaria (http://www.huh.harvard.edu/) is looking
to hire two student interns full-time for up to three months this summer
to help with general curation needs. Interns would be trained by the
curatorial staff and integrated in Herbaria-based projects. The duties
may include mounting plant specimens, repairing specimens, sorting
specimens, filing specimens, processing loans, databasing and imaging
specimens, and other general curation projects. Preference may be given
to those who have taken some courses in botany and/or who are genuinely
interested in pursuing some botanically-oriented career.

Note: Ideally, the student would be local (greater Boston area), as the
cost of living in the area make it difficult to accommodate short-term
stays. Also, more flexibility in duration/scope can be arranged if the
student is able to claim this internship for credit at their
institution. Recent graduates may also apply.

For more details, please contact me. To apply please send cover letter
and resume to:
