Dear colleagues,

Nobody expected it, but it happened. Our two colleagues were found guilty as
charged and they were sentenced to three years to be served in Indian jail.
Petition for pardon will be submitted this Wednesday If the court will grant
it, they will stay guilty as charged, but they will be pardoned. This means
that in about 14-21 days (after taking care of all formalities, vizas, etc.)
they could appear back home. If the court will reject the petition for
pardon, an appeal will follow and in about two months another court
appearance will take place in Calcutta. Both should stay free for this time.

Todays sentencing will force us to start preparions for demonstrations in
front of Indian embassies in many countries.You will receive all details on
time.
