In November 2008, Heritage Preservation brought together leaders from past and future Alliance for Response Forums, emergency professionals, and funding agencies to celebrate the success of the initiative and share program strategies. Now the highlights of the day-long discussion have been distilled in a one-hour audio presentation that can be accessed online or downloaded to an iPod, MP3 player, or other portable listening device. Resue Public Murals  

Rescue Public Murals Partners with ARTstor to Document Community Murals 

Heritage Preservation is pleased to announce that it has partnered with ARTstor to add 1,500 mural 
images to their Digital Library this year. Heritage Preservation will contribute approximately 300 images of community murals collected as part of the Rescue Public Murals assessments. To read more click here.

Planning for Mural Restoration Underway

Planning is underway for the restoration of Homage to Seurat: La Grande Jatte in Harlem by the late Eva Cockcroft. The mural is on the side of an apartment building that faces an active community garden in New York City. To read more click here.

Save Outdoor Sculpture! 

Heritage Preservation Coordinating Assessments of Historic Monuments for Department of Veterans Affairs

The National Cemetery Administration (NCA) of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has contracted with Heritage Preservation to assess the condition of approximately 200 memorials in VA cemeteries. Located from Augusta, Maine to San Diego, California, these monuments include simple markers, obelisks, and elaborate figures. To read more click here.
