Natural science collections in the US have benefitted handsomely from SAT - so help support the need for the program.

The President’s Budget for Fiscal Year 2011 calls for elimination of the Save America’s Treasures program.
Since its founding in 1998, Save America’s Treasures has been highly successful in saving threatened collections, buildings and sites nationwide. Because every grant requires a dollar for dollar match, the Save America’s Treasures has generated private and community funding on behalf of our heritage.
Heritage Preservation will be working with colleagues in Washington and, most importantly, with all of you, to convince Congress to reverse these cuts. We will keep our members posted as legislative strategy is developed.

If you have received a Save America’s Treasures grant, it would be great for us to hear more from you about its impact. Please send a note to info at heritagepreservation.org, and we’ll get in touch with you.
