Hello,

Can anyone explain or point me to a reference that explains how to make a scientific specimen of elongate hemlock scale? I have seen other scales in collections just on the twigs, but since this scale is on the needle and the needle will fall off of the twig when it dries out...what is the proper way to make a scientific specimen?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Tim Tomon
