Hi Heather,

I did write a large chapter in the book about fluid specimens - Care &
Conservation of Natural History Collections (eds Carter & Walker) 1999, but
which has been out of print for some time. It's slightly out of date now but
have a look to see if you can borrow a copy, otherwise you may have to
wait until NatSCA (Natural Sciences Collections Assoc'n) have got all the
rights and can re-has the book (soon but unspecified as to when!)

Otherwise John Simmons should be producing an opus on this subject soon.

With all good wishes, Simon

Hello all,
I am currently working on developing a system for profiling the alcohol
collection at the NC State Insect Museum. I am aware of the McGinley paper and
Favret et al. paper pertaining to profiling systems. However I am having a
difficult time locating publications describing best practices for
updating and/or maintaing a wet collection. Any suggestions are most
appreciated.
Thank you!
