Hi Heather,
I would need to know what size the coral is, whether it is coloured
(artificially or naturally) and what sort (species name?)
Generally I would advise placing it into some isopropyl alcohol to
dehydrate it but don't want to compromise any colours it may have. This would
also deal with any mould/mold.
With all good wishes, Simon

Subject: [RCAAM] Drying Coral
Good Morning,
We recently had a small incident where water leaked in our storage area.
The only object that was heavily saturated was a piece of coral. It is
very saturated and does not seem to be drying. I have tried to find
information as to the best way to dry this object but have come up empty so far.
Have any of you dealt with this before? Any suggestions on how to dry this
at a faster rate to decrease the possibility of mold?
Thanks!
