Popular ERS App Now Available for Android
[http://gallery.mailchimp.com/00cbcc194404641e545c4b972/images/ERSappscreenshot.1.jpg]In April 2012, Heritage Preservation, in partnership with the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training<http://heritagepreservation.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=00cbcc194404641e545c4b972&id=7c2eddbfda&e=5732b353ec> (NCPTT), released its Emergency Response and Salvage Wheel as a free app for Apple devices running iOS 5.1 or later. Since its release, the ERS: Emergency Response and Salvage app has been downloaded from the App Store<http://heritagepreservation.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=00cbcc194404641e545c4b972&id=42684419b2&e=5732b353ec> more than 1,700 times. Now, the ERS app is available for Android users and can be downloaded through Google Play<http://heritagepreservation.us1.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=00cbcc194404641e545c4b972&id=963879921b&e=5732b353ec>— a Spanish version is also in the works. In addition, an upgraded Apple version that runs on all iOS hardware and a BlackBerry version will be available soon. All versions of the app are available free of charge.

The award is given annually, in partnership with the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works, to an organization in North America that has been exemplary in the commitment it has shown to the preservation and care of its cultural property

Conservation Assessment Program Deadline Extended
The deadline to apply for the Conservation Assessment Program<http://heritagepreservation.us1.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=00cbcc194404641e545c4b972&id=56c9c8efa3&e=5732b353ec> (CAP) has been extended to January 15, 2013 for all applicants. The program continues to offer expedited emergency assessments to institutions impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
