Curatorial Associate (Curator/Archivist II) in Mammals and Genomic Resources, and Supervisor of Integrated Pest Management Program

The Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History seeks an experienced and energetic professional to serve as the Curatorial Associate in Mammals and Genomic Resources, and Supervisor of the Department of Integrated Pest Program. This permanent staff position will report to the Curator of Mammals (0.9 FTE) and Head Curator (0.1 FTE). Responsibilities include the daily operations and management of the museum's mammal and genomic resources collections, and supervision of the IPM Technician and operations of the Isolation and Treatment Facility, Integrated Pest Management Program, and Dermestid Facility. Duties and responsibilities include care of the collections, data and records management, documentation of outgoing and incoming loans, processing and preparation of new and existing collections, assisting visitors, assisting with the training and supervision of assistants, students, interns, and volunteers, assisting with exhibitions through collection-related activities, participation in public service programs and educational activities as appropriate, and conducting some research in field of expertise and/or providing assistance to curators in research.

Minimum qualifications:
Master's/Ph.D. degree (preferred) in biology, zoology, or related field with an emphasis in mammalian biology and 24-26 months of collections-related experience or Bachelor's degree in one of the fields listed above and 24-36 months of experience. Requirements may be met by equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Prior supervisory and database experience preferred, as well as a demonstrated knowledge of acceptable museum practices and standards for the management of biological, genomic, and museum collections, Integrated Pest Management, and dermestid facilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required, as well as the ability to both work independently and in a team environment.

Salary Range: $40,000 to $50,000 plus full benefits.
