You are invited to attend a 2-day georeferencing workshop offered by the Yale Peabody Museum. The workshop will take place October 24-25 on the Yale campus.

This workshop will introduce participants to the tools and techniques to interpret collection location data into spatial descriptions that can be used in mapping and analyses. In this 2-day workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of georeferencing best practices through a combination of lectures and hands-on exercises. The workshop is available to participants within ground travel distance of the Yale Peabody Museum (New Haven, CT). Ground travel, lodging, and food will be reimbursed for many participants. Participants will be expected to bring their own laptops and will be given instructions to prepare for the workshop.
