NatSCA have something like this for the UK with similar data fields:

At the moment the data is associated with a map, which reports the
information when you click on a location. You can sort for particular
collection types, but the interrogation of the data is a little limited.
The underlying database should allow other ways of interrogating the data,
with some further development and we plan to feed the data into grbio. We
may also be able to broaden the database to cover collections across the
globe, if we can get around some of the geolocation issues that are
currently limiting the system.
