JOB SUMMARY:
The Department of the Interior is devoted to protecting and preserving the natural resources of this great nation, including National Parks, Landmarks, and the well-being of communities, including those of Native American, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and affiliated Islanders.
The position is located in the Office of Acquisition and Property Management (PAM), Office of the Secretary, U.S. Department of the Interior, Washington, DC.

The incumbent is a member of the Interior Museum Program that guides management and use of over 67 million museum objects and more than 70,000 linear feet of archives. In size, these collections of museum objects are second only to those of the Smithsonian Institution among federal agency collections. The Department of the Interior's museum objects include 57 million archeology artifacts, 1.3 million paleontology specimens, 4 million history objects, 3.2 million biology specimens, 150,000 ethnographic and art objects, and 83,000 geology specimens.

The duties of this position are suitable for periodic or situational telework only.  Duty Station is Washington, DC.
