[Nhcoll-l] Call for mentors, SPNHC Berlin 2016

Hello,
We are seeking five members of SPNHC to be mentors for the Fitzgerald and Allen Travel Grant awardees for this years' conference in Berlin.  Mentors will be asked to contact and help the awardees with their presentations and questions prior to the conference, meet with and assist awardees during the conference, and follow up with the awardees on their publications afterward.  Mentors must be attending the Berlin SPNHC conference.  General guidelines for mentors are attached.

This year's awardees are working in mammal conservation, vertebrate fossil conservation, fluid preserved collections care and conservation, a national herbarium, and collections management systems for interdisciplinary natural history collections.

Being a mentor offers opportunities for personal growth, sharing your knowledge, making new contacts, and is both a rewarding experience for you as well as the awardee.  There have been 18 mentors in the past several years (some more than once); everyone has enjoyed their experience.
