Thanks Dirk,

This does appear to be a histochemical fixative but there is no reason (apart from cost) why it shouldn’t work as a gross tissue fixative.  It obviously contains some nasty chemicals but isn’t listed as a carcinogen.
Could be good for fragile and small organisms such as hydromedusae.
