Scott Foss, BLM Senior Paleontologist, and Elizabeth Varner, DOI Staff Curator will be picking up where we left off last month by talking about DOI Museum Collections and Non-Federal Partners.

The bureaus of the Department of the Interior (DOI) have a mission that requires them to maintain and track museum collections, but very often the bureaus lack the staff, infrastructure, or funding to collect, maintain, or utilize those collections. Therefore, the success of the DOI museum program depends on the professional input of its non-federal partners.
