[Nhcoll-l] Job Openings - USFWS Forensics Laboratory

We currently have two positions open at the USFWS National Fish & Wildlife
Forensics Laboratory. Job descriptions and qualifications are outlined in
the links below.

Please don't be deterred by the term *forensic*. Job duties for these
positions *do not* include veterinary examinations or cause of death
determinations. Primary duties include:


   - Morphological species identification


   - Determining age, gender, and minimum number of individuals from
   evidence assemblages


   - Assisting in developing, modifying and verifying new analytical
   procedures in the field of morphology to identify evidence items. Such
   items include whole carcasses, parts and pieces, and products made from
   animals.


   - Testifying in criminal court proceedings and civil administration
   hearings as an expert witness in wildlife forensics


   - Working with biological collections


   - Reporting analytical findings for rapid utilization by law enforcement
   personnel
