I've used 0.030" thick magnet ("matte white vinyl surface on the front and
the back has the strongest magnetic clinging force") and labels that I've
printed on a Brother desktop P-Touch label printer.

The magnet is available in 50-foot rolls (0.5 to 48 inches in width,
including 1.5 inches) and the material can be cut to size.

I am going to need about 250 small labels for numbering drawers in 25 new
specimen cases. We have used magnetic sheets and printed the numbers on
the 1.5" square labels, but these are not magnetically strong enough and
frequently fall off which is messy and annoying. There are card holders for
each drawer but by the time I put taxonomic information there (many families
with few specimens in each drawer) there's no room for a nicely visible
drawer number. I'd appreciate some ideas about a better system and where
to purchase the needed supplies. Thank you.
