Our community has been searching for such jars for a long time without any luck. The only gallon jars that are readily available that are affordable for museums (besides ground glass jars) have a 110mm opening. We get ours from Kols O'Berk here - https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.oberk.com_containers_glass_glass-2Djar_2002014-2D-2D1gallon-2Dflint-2Deconomy-2Dround-2Dglass-2Djar-2D-2D-2D110-2D405-2Dneck&d=DwIFAw&c=cjytLXgP8ixuoHflwc-poQ&r=LpYc_Z_iN1KRw0hheb3x6-8MJUMu482qfHowpGYJqwc&m=enq1lVMJZxHXRux_m9CF0Vr2Fd4wr5qNPcelAlxXWqI&s=nbnaHVZJZstdZoFANovgbbAe8SlhobVgfnShxgPAfB4&e=. They also supply a range of lids including alcohol resistant.

Hope that helps

Andy

Subject: [Nhcoll-l] 1 gallon Specimen Jars

Does anyone have a good source in the US for 1 gallon size specimen jars with a 6-8" opening with seal compatible for use with formalin? Or something similar.

Thanks
Brian
