[Nhcoll-l] Watch for potential quarantine of birds from Southern California

Backyard chickens (not to mention pheasants, parrots and what many would think of as zoo animals) are very popular Southern California. But there are also ample occurrences of fighting fowl.

They are saying backyard birds. In the past, these outbreaks have typically originated from smuggling fighting birds. It would be worrisome if these are indeed just backyard birds - because then what is the source?
