[Nhcoll-l] DNA extraction from Giemsa-stained blood smears

Dear colleagues,

I’m curious to know if anyone has experience, either positively or negatively, with extracting DNA from Giemsa-stained bird blood smears? If so, would you kindly share references or protocols? These would ultimately be designated for whole-genome sequencing.
