 Fossil Preparator will be responsible for overseeing and conducting all laboratory based preparation of fossil remains. Work responsibilities will include preparation and assessment of vertebrate, invertebrate, and botanical fossil remains and traces; supervision
 and training of volunteers in the fossil preparation laboratory; occasional supervision of field personnel in the fossil preparation laboratory; maintenance and care of all laboratory equipment; examination and evaluation of collected fossil material for stratigraphic
 contamination; development and management of fossil preparation budgets; assistance in transportation of large specimens throughout the department; and aid in field salvage of specimens. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

 in fossil preparation; demonstrated knowledge of and competence with relevant mechanical instruments, adhesives, and consolidants; proven organizational ability; and a track record of attention to detail. Salary is dependent upon the applicant’s experience.
