Looks like a lot of vibration due to often-moving specimen trays/drawers.
(The specimen --and EVERY specimen/drawer-- whether of interest or
not-- is moved to the viewer every time any specimen is to be
viewed, rather than the viewer going to the one specimen or single drawer
of specimen, moving it.)<br><br>
For collections of specimens/materials which can tolerate a lot of
vibration, perhaps this isn't an issue.<br><br>

from Hänel as a storage system for some of the NH collections at the
Royal BC Museum.<br>
