anyone has recently bought hydrometers with this description:<br>Hydrometer, 5" long, 60-90% Ethanol @ 70 degree F in 1 degree Divisions, approximately $39 each.<br><br>3 years ago, we purchased a dozen of these hydrometers for use in our alcohol collection in the Division of Fishes at the Smithsonian Institution. We have been unable to locate the same hydrometers. We purchased these from Thermo Instruments, Inc. from Yaphank, NY and they are no longer in business and/or were bought up by FisherSci. FisherSci has hydrometers but not 5" in size. Carolina Biological does not have the 5" size either.<br><br>Does anyone use this 5" size hydrometer and if so, have you had recent luck in locating a vendor? Conservator and I have found new infestation in storage cabinets and stuffed bird collections and we have tried to identify these pests and thought might be kind of furniture beetles- but not so sure. I have attached few photos to be able to identify types of pests and areas that have been infested. Make sure you estimate the total weight and be sure your floor loading will take that much weight.
