<p class="MsoNormal">The Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) seeks a volunteer SPNHC member for the position of newsletter editor. The SPNHC Newsletter (ISSN 1071-2887) is published twice a year, March and September, by the
Society as a member benefit. The newsletter editor is responsible for the design and production of the bi-annual newsletter using Adobe Illustrator and the solicitation of content from members and non-members alike. Examples of past newsletters are available
on the SPNHC website at <a href="http://www.spnhc.org/25">http://www.spnhc.org/25</a>. Each newsletter entails no more than a week’s worth of work once all materials have been collated from council, committees, representatives and other sources etc. You
will work with the Publications Committee chair and various other members to ensure the timely delivery of content. Other content is accumulated by the editor from numerous sources – members, non-members, other societies and organizations (NatSCA, NSCA, AIBS
etc.), NHCOLL-L, additional listservs and other pertinent sources. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">As the newsletter will be changing to an e-publication after the September 2013 issue, there will be ample opportunity to be creative in the delivery of content otherwise impossible with print delivery – http, email and other links, integration
with social media etc. The ideal candidate will be a SPNHC member with an interest and aptitude for publication design and a working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">This is an opportunity for a member to become more involved in the society in the provision of one of the key benefits to membership in SPNHC.<o:p></o:p></p>
