USFWS have built new functionality into the eDecs website which saves mailing in your document package. eScan can be used for eDecs that DO NOT require original paperwork (e.g. CITES permit or a ESA Export/Re-import Report). They are ok
for COSE transactions and MBTA. To enroll call the eDec Help Desk at 303-275-2355. When you call, they will ask for your filer number and which US ports you use for import/export. Then they will register each filer in eScan. The
option will then appear in the Pending eDecs window. From here you can then upload the entire document package. I make a pdf of the whole thing and rename it with the eDec number. This really works folks. I have had eDecs clear in a few hours!
