<p class="MsoNormal">Last week I wrote about the closure of the ethnographic collections, believing that an initial post had been sent about closing the archaeological collections. Well, it hadn’t, so here’s the full story.

<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Having received an NEH grant for the re-housing of the archaeological collection (compact mobile storage, new cabinets, etc.), starting in January of 2015, there will be no access to those collections for approximately two years. And because
most of the archaeology collection will be stored in the aisles of the ethnographic collection, that area will be closed as well.

<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">There will be limited access to the collections from January through June 2015, while we prepare for the Big Move. Researchers who absolutely need to see parts of the collections are advised to contact me for the ethnographic collections,
and Amy Covell [covella@carnegiemnh.org] for the archaeological material, as soon as possible.
