<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1f497d">Silly question but why are you labelling jars and lids instead of placing labels within the jar using the thermal transfer printing system available from Alpha Systems being used by a large number of extant alcoholic
 collections?  The labels are unaffected by alcohol or formalin and do not yellow, brittle or fade over time and also do not leach anything into the fluid.  We have been using them for 10+ years and have been very happy.</span><u></u><u></u></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We are starting work on rehousing our entire alcohol-preserved mollusk collection, comprising about 50,000 bottles. For many years we have used medical tape to label jars and lids, writing on it with sharpies. This works pretty well, as
 the tape stays stuck to glass or plastic for over 40 years. However, for the next round of rehousing I’d prefer to use pre-cut labels for the sake of neatness and speed.<u></u><u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Does anyone know of a suitable label? It can be cloth or paper, and should ideally be available in various sizes and shapes. I’m especially keen on finding a good circular label for the caps of regular 4- and 6-dram screw-top vials.
