<p class="MsoNormal">The Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BKL) was installed at The New York Botanical Garden during the week of April 6<sup>th </sup>2015. The approximately 330,000 specimens in about 250 cabinets arrived by truck over a four day period. The cabinets
were installed in two rooms in the Library building, which is adjacent to the William and Lynda Steere Herbarium (NY). BKL will be available for consultation as of Monday 4 May. Each room holding BKL specimens has work space, including microscopes, for the
examination of specimens. All rules for consulting NY will apply to BKL, with the exception of loans. We will not be able to loan specimens from BKL.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The transfer of BKL to NYBG is temporary, under the terms of the MOU signed between the two institutions. According to the MOU, the collections will be housed at NYBG until the Science program is re-established there, and a new herbarium
facility is created.<o:p></o:p></p>
