yes, the <b>main problem</b> is how postal staff translate the
various information they have(or don't have) into the customs
systems to clear consignments. At this very point, an amazing
diversity can be discovered.<br>
However, majority of cases reflects not the diversity we want to
explore.<br>
<br>
<u>As a mus</u>t: If anything fails, <b>customs is obliged to
check the docs attached to the outside of the parcel</b>. If you
discover that electronic systems of postal carriers fail to depict
the diverse information you need to enter into their forms, attach
them in your shipping docs to the outside.<br>
<br>
Important: Clearly mark the pouch containing such docs as relevant
for customs clearance (e.g. mark with "Shipping docs", "Customs
docs", etc.). This pouch should be on the same side with the
address label (if space is limited, put address label onto pouch
holding the docs).<br>
<br>
It might be worth to remember that the amount of excuses, why
customs failed to recognise this or that is nearly as high, as the
fails of postal carrier staff to enter the correct information
into customs forms ...<br>

Specific problems for imports to Spain might be eased by
sending loans<br>
to European colleagues outside Spain that are willing to
forward them to<br>
repsective colleagues in Spain (there are no border checks
and thus<br>
customs checks for intra-European shipments).<br>
