font-family:georgia;color:#2D2D2D">This position seeks an individual with a passion for science education. The candidate should have a strong interest in biology pedagogy and is expected to advise biology teaching
certification students as well as assist in conducting program reviews for the biology department. The position is expected to teach some combination of the following: non-majors and/or majors introductory courses (including labs) in genetics, zoology, botany,
microbiology and/or human biology; and/or upper level majors or graduate courses in their area of specialization. Position will have a role in coordinating labs for non-majors and service courses. The candidate will advise all biology certification education
majors.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

color:#2D2D2D">The successful candidate must be committed to teaching within a vibrant public liberal arts and sciences environment
and demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching, mentoring and research with undergraduates. All faculty at SCSU share in academic advising and participate in department/university service. Nominal teaching load is 12 credit-hours per semester.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

doctorate by May 2017. A record of scholarship, recent external funding for research, and experience teaching genetics and microbiology will be highly ranked. One or more years experience with teaching and/or outreach to K-12 students will also be valued in
