<p class="MsoNormal"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"><u><span
style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:107%">Grant Information<o:p></o:p></span></u></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Through the Legacy Fund, The Mammoth Site will
to pay tribute to a man like no other. Dedication to life-long
research and a passion for the education of young scientists were
hallmarks of Dr. Agenbroad’s 50 year career. Support contributed
to this fund will ensure his legacy will continue long into the
future. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The Legacy Fund provides support for
proboscidean and Quaternary research at The Mammoth Site and other
locales the world over. Funding will assist Mammoth Site staff, as
well as other scientists or students from the US and abroad, in
pursuit of meaningful, high quality research. Project proposals
may include topics ranging from the arrival of mammoths in North
America and the Black Hills, proboscidean paleobiology and
phylogeny, or topics related to understanding the Quaternary
paleontological record.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Research generated from these funds will be
used to develop educational curricula for programming and/or
exhibits at the Mammoth Site. As such, the successful applicant(s)
will be expected to submit a nontechnical language summary of
their study and results upon completion of the project. A public
presentation and/or blog post for our website, of the research
results for the Mammoth Site is a requirement. The intent of these
requirements is to provide Mammoth Site visitors and members with
scientific information from the leading edge of Quaternary
research, and to promote public science education at the Mammoth
Site. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Grant applications will be accepted from
scientists and/or students conducting Quaternary research, and
applications for grants are accepted between January 1<sup>st</sup>
and March 31<sup>st</sup>.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Grants
will be awarded in late April.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Grant
awards will be in the amounts of $1,000 or less.<span

<p class="MsoNormal">Grant applications should be no more than two
pages total (12-point font, English preferred) and must include
