I was supposing that this would be a salt based fixative, but it
is not possible to get any information on its composition. Judging
fromt he bad experiences with salt based "fixatives" (e.g. DMSO),
I am wondering if HistoChoice fixed specimens would remain stable
in the long run, because it surely would be difficult to re-fix
them ... even after rinsing.<br>

Do you have any thoughts on this ?<br>

<div>This does appear to be a histochemical fixative but there is
no reason (apart from cost) why it shouldn’t work as a gross
tissue fixative. It obviously contains some nasty chemicals but
isn’t listed as a carcinogen.</div>
<div>Could be good for fragile and small organisms such as
hydromedusae. </div>
