<p dir="ltr">Are these cataloged museum specimens? If so, I would not be treating them with these other forms of preservatives for loaning out to schools but rather I would be looking for specimens without data or scientific value (aka teaching collections)for school loans. Specimens of scientific value should not be used in such a way that the physical characters are possibly destroyed via alternative preservations. </p>

I have been asked by a colleague for assistance regarding methods in which to ship out fluid preserved specimens for educational purposes in K-12 schools. Teachers receiving the specimens will not normally have access to ethanol to transfer any cheesecloth-wrapped,
