<p>We've been very happy with the machine. It is quick and has
resolution comparable to the analogue machines we have. Since
it's a medical unit, it has safety procedures which prevent
"stacking" exposures to get a high enough exposure for some
fossils, but that's not often a problem. Also, the digital output
is a dicom file. The dicom software was something like $15,000,
so we just grab the files off the machine with a thumb drive and
open them with Photoshop. And using Photoshop you can then save
them in any format you like.</p>
