<span style="font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">BHL is a consortium of major natural history museum libraries, botanical libraries, and research institutions that cooperate to digitize and make accessible the legacy biodiversity literature.
Together, the consortium accounts for over two million volumes of biodiversity literature collected over 200 years. Open access to the resources in the Biodiversity Heritage Library supports the work of scientists, researchers, and students in their home institutions
and throughout the world.</span></p>

<span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">We are currently looking for U.S. institutions with books, manuscripts, field books, and other materials that fall within the </span><a href="https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__biodivlib.wikispaces.com_Collection-26-2343-3BDevelopment-26-2343-3BPolicy&d=CwMGaQ&c=-dg2m7zWuuDZ0MUcV7Sdqw&r=CLFZJ3fvGSmDp7xK1dNZfh6uGV_h-8NVlo3fXNoRNzI&m=UlmqiyOR5Iu0p0LMS4aL_rV6QiADiVPjBLp5CDkRJfc&s=lKDIj8vada_N5WD5JbA02O87BaQ2qeg2ATJZFoQlSxM&e=" style="color: rgb(149, 79, 114); font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">scope</a><font face="Calibri,sans-serif"> of
BHL and are missing from its digital collections.</font> We are interested in items that have already been digitized as well as those that have not; f<font style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">or the latter category,
<b>we have funding in the amount of $750</b> (with the possibility of more) to cover shipping and scanning by the Internet Archive, at the rate of $3 per item plus 10 cents per page. </font><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">All scanning products
(including high-res JP2s, tiffs, PDFs, and text files) are freely available to content providers for use on their own websites. </span></p>
