This workshop will include lunch and breaks and will take place on Sunday, June 18 from 8am-1pm. <div><br></div><div>The workshop is free to all participants but applications from 7 universities will be chosen for travel grants to attend the workshop and the rest of SPNHC 2017. that are curator-advised, student-driven organizations aimed at enhancing local
natural history collections by helping to train student volunteers to assist in
curating and managing them. The network represents clubs from all types of
universities but seems to most benefit those with small collections as a way to
protect and raise enthusiasm for their collections. In this workshop you will
meet students and advisors from existing NHCC’s and learn about how to start
your own club and how NHCC’s have impacted campus collections. Starting an NHCC
on your campus creates a group of students ready to advocate for your
collections at a local level. We have seen great responses to these clubs from
local communities and university administrations. This workshop targets
potential advisors/curators and students who may be club leaders. </p><p class="MsoNormal"><b><br></b></p><p class="MsoNormal"><b>You can sign
