I strongly recommend using a camera instead of a (flatbed or
devoted slide) scanner. This works MUCH faster and in the end
provides equal or better quality.<br>
<br>
There are numerous tutorials and ideas for setups on the web –

The only shortcoming is the missing dust and scratch removal
automatism, which is provide by high quality slide scanners.<br>

the process of strategizing the best ways to scan 35mm:
negatives (10,000), slides (150,000), and prints (10,000).
The negatives and prints are Kodak black/white and the
slides are Kodak Ektachrome (color). The prints are actually
affixed to 3in x 5.5in envelopes with notes written above/
beside the prints.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
