This is the system used by Dra. Letty Salinas Sánchez in the Departamento de Ornitología at the Museo de Historia Natural in Lima. It works well to keep the feathers from being damaged, and they can be examined without having to remove them from the sheet protectors, and an identification label included with each feather. Letty has built up a very useful collection of loose feathers that are used in forensic identification. Here is a photo of the system:</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small;color:#000000"><img src="cid:ii_lal8v1890" alt="image.png" width="561" height="421"><br><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small;color:#000000">--John<br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small;color:#000000"><br clear="all"></div><div><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><font size="2"><span style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">John E.
