page 4 goes into proper storage techniques for acetate and polyester base film.

<p class="MsoNormal">Here at BRIT Library, we unfortunately don’t have cold storage for our film, but we keep our collection between 68-72°F and a relative humidity between 40-50%. I store slides either in these

<p class="MsoNormal">We had some 35mm slides with plastic frames and we removed the frames because the plastic used these times can be harmful for the film.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Also the frame deforms the film inside. We keep them inside PP or PE plastic sheets. This way it takes a lot fewer space and the photos are easier to inspect.<br>
The black&white are ok to keep on room temperature but colored ones are better to keep in colder conditions (10-12 Celsius and RH40-45%.)
