Mentoring 101, Wednesday, February 22, HGS 211, noon-1pm.

Being a mentor and finding mentors is a life-long activity, in life and
career, in academia, in non-profit work and in the private sector.

Women Mentoring Women invites you to join them for a panel presentation on
mentoring, featuring Dean Cariaga-Lo, who will speak about diversity
mentoring; WISAY (Women in Science at Yale) CEO Theresa Lyons, G4 in
Chemistry PhD program, who will talk about graduate students mentoring
undergraduates in the sciences; Jessica Cronce, G3 in Psychology PhD
program, who will present basic strategies for getting the mentoring you
need; Connie Gersick, Visiting Scholar at the School of Management, who will
talk about the benefits of a group- and network-oriented mentoring
relationship (i.e. small group); and William Rando, Director of the Graduate
Teaching Center, who will speak about the main qualities in an outstanding
mentor based on his involvement with the annual Mentoring Awards in the
Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.   Registration requested,
