winner Robert Creeley. A reception will follow; this event is free and

Robert Creeley is the author of more than 75 books of poetry, prose, and
literary criticism, including his recently published collection <i>If I
Were Writing This</i> (2003), <i>Just in Time: Poems 1984-1994
</i>(2001), En Famille (1999), <i>Life & Death</i> (1998), and <i>So
There: Poems 1976-83</i> (1998). One of America’s most honored living
poets, Creeley has been awarded the Lannan Lifetime Achievement Award,
the Frost Medal, Lila Wallace/ Reader’s Digest Writers’ Award, and the
Bollingen Prize for Poetry and has received grants and fellowships from
the NEA, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Guggenheim Foundation. He
Distinguished Professor and Samuel P. Capen Professor of Poetics and the
Humanities at the State University of New York, Buffalo, and
Distinguished Professor of English at Brown University. <br>
