About The
Book: Elizabeth Ann Walinsky likes dinosaurs, not dolls,
and calls herself Lizard. It is hard for this dinosaur girl to find
friends until she meets Spider (whose real name is Simon), a boy who
loves not only dinosaurs but all creepy things. Lizard Walinksy
chronicles how the two children spend a happy summer of pterodactyl
egg hunts and marshmallow and gummy worm feats. However, when autumn
arrives this inseparable duo must go to separate schools. Is this
the end of the world for Lizard? Author Roberta Baker shows how
Lizard learns about making new friends and why old ones will never become
extinct. Ages 4-8.
