Night:</b></font> Each month The Yale Bookstore hosts a Thursday
Poetry Night.. One or more featured poets read from their work
after which there is an Open Mic during which audience members may read
original poetry or favorite poems by others. Poetry Nights will
start at 6:00 p.m. and close no later than 8:30 p.m. </h2><br><br>

</b></font>Michael Schiavo's poetry has appeared in <i>The Yale
Review</i>, <i>McSweeney's</i>, <i>LIT</i>, <i>Painted Bride
Quarterly</i>, <i>Forklift, Ohio</i>, and <i>CUE: A Journal of Prose
Poetry</i> , among other publications. He has also written nonfiction for
<i>Tin House</i>, <i>The Believer</i>, the <i>Hartford Courant</i>, and
<i>Northeast</i> Magazine. He is an advance reader for the annual <i>Best
American Poetry </i>anthology series and was nominated for a Pushcart
Prize in 2006. He has thrice attended the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference,
receiving a work-study scholarship in 2004. He is the curator of the
recently-established Ordinary Evening Reading Series at the Anchor Bar
(<a href="http://ordinaryevening.blogspot.com/">
http://ordinaryevening.blogspot.com/</a>) which brings emerging and
established poets and writers to read in New Haven. A 2002 graduate of
the Bennington College Writing Seminars, he lives in Wooster Square.
