V. Penelope Pelizzon's first poetry collection, NOSTOS (Ohio
University<br>
Press), won the Hollis Summers Prize and the Poetry Society of<br>
America's Norma Farber First Book Award. Poems from a new
manuscript<br>
appeared this month in POETRY and THE MISSOURI REVIEW. Her
scholarly<br>
work on photography and film appears frequently in journals
including<br>
THE YALE JOURNAL OF CRITICISM, NARRATIVE, and AMERICAN
STUDIES. She is<br>
an Associate Professor of English at the University of
Connecticut.<br><br>
William Black teaches fiction writing at Johns Hopkins
University.<br>
Recent work has appeared or is forthcoming in HOTEL AMERIKA,
PRAIRIE<br>
SCHOONER, FLORIDA REVIEW, OTHER VOICES and elsewhere. He is
currently<br>
developing an artists' residence with community arts outreach in<br>
Baltimore.<br><br>
